Taylor a world wide quality guitaring brand that is trusted by millions of musicians. These guitars have a great reputation as the best sounding and possibly the best brand for guitaring in the world. They have sold 2 000 000 + guitars since it has opened its doors. Making this one of the biggest sellers of guitars on the market. Not only have they sold a lot but they have also learnt to craft the ultimate stringed instrument. Learning over the years and learning from their mistakes.
Owning a Taylor Guitar is an honour and is something to brag about. Just playing the guitar will do the bragging for itself – no need to say anything. Most Taylor guitars are made of the best guitating materials that not only makes them look great but sound great too.
Here are my all time favourite Taylor Guitars:
TAYLOR GS MINI MAHOGANY GS MINI ACOUSTIC GUITAR – Taylor Guitar Review
This guitar comes with a mahogany top and a laminated Sapele sides and back. This is a smaller Taylor guitar, almost a travel guitar but not. The guitar does not come with a pick up but with a little effort you can install one. The sound of this guitar is out of this world, you won’t find any strange vibrations or any tin sounds. The quality shines through once you strum this baby.
If you are wanting to travel around you can easily take this one along for the ride. It is small but not too small that you would think it is a travel guitar. You can get away with playing it anywhere and people will think it is a good sounding regular Taylor guitar.
The sound rings out like something else you can only hear from a quality piece that it is. The sound is full and plays so beautifully. Even to place your fingers on the fret board is a bit of pleasure.
You also get a very cool protective bag that you can use to travel and take your guitar with. The bag comes with a nice hard back that will protects the guitar from any bump.

TAYLOR GS MINI MAHOGANY VS SPRUCE – IS THERE ANY DIFFERENT WITH THE SOUND? – Taylor Guitar Review
The Taylor Mahogany and the Taylor Spruce is basically the same. They both have an ebony bridge, a tusk saddle three ring, a rosette evany fingerboard, chrome mini tuners and a classic Taylor headstock.
The only difference is that the one has a spruce tops and the other a mahogany tropical top. Both of the backhand sides sets are sapele laminate.
After playing we noticed the Sikta spruce top has more projections and is a lot more articulate and balanced across all strings.
The mahogany still has really good response but it is going to be a little more mellow. You will notice a fatter sing note tone and overall increase bass response.

CAN IS USE ANY CAPO ON THIS GUITAR? – Taylor Guitar Review
The best capo will be one that you can adjust so that it does not push the strings out of tune.
- Sounds absolutely fantastic, it really does have a great full sound to it.
- Very light and easy to carry around and can be used as a travel guitar.
- The body is made to perfections with no issue at all that I can pick up on.
- For the price paid it does not come with a pick up – that is my only issue with this. Actually this is not much of an issue as you can easily just add one.
- Also I found that this guitar does not hold tune too well. After some playing you might need to re-tune it.
TAYLOR 114CE 100 SERIES ACOUSTIC GUITAR – Taylor Guitar Review
The Taylor 114CE Series is the most popular out of all the Taylor acoustic guitars. You will and most probably have already seen this guitar on the racks of most guitar or music stores. This is a mid level guitar and the tone and play ability is top quality for the price.
The body design is a grand auditorium body and was made in 2007. This is a performance orientated guitar as it has a a cut away body. This specific model is the Venetian cutaway body and is very popular with loads of the top guitar companies similar to Taylor.
The neck is a three piece and is made to be stronger than a one piece. The three piece neck was made by Taylor as to save on wood, as they would have needed on huge piece of wood to carve out the neck.
The tuners are permanently lubricated and need no maintenance for its whole life span. This is a performance orientated guitar so it has got really great electronics. The electric system is called the Expression System T. There are only three controls, volume, bass and treble and they are very easy to use.

TAYLOR GUITAR 414CE GRAND AUDITORIUM ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC GUITAR – Taylor Guitar Review
This is one of the more expensive guitars Taylor has on offer. The price equally matches the quality and the sound that comes from this great guitar and you will not find one thing wrong with it. The top comes with Sikta spruce paired with forward shifted x bracing. The fingerboard is ebony with Italian acrylic oval inlays. We have an inch and three quarter tusk nut Taylor Headstock with Chrome Tuners.
On the back and sides we have under a matt finish a solid Ovangkol. It is very similar to rose wood but has a lighter appearance. The grain lines on this guitar are totally quality in wood – love it to bits. The top is also under a gloss finish.
The sound has a nice extended low end and has loads of shimmer and balance. This is definitely much more of a beefier guitar than most other Taylors. The magic begins once you turn on the electronics by plugging it in, the sound is amazing. The mid range is perfection to the highest. The undertones you will hear from the 414CE are sought after by any other experienced guitarist.
I totally recommend you try this guitar out. It can come close to the best guitar money can buy – especially in its price range. This guitar would be an amazing gift for someone who is a novice and has loads of playing experience. As I don’t think any beginner would fully appreciate this gem.
